Textiles of Africa
For producers

Sell your cloth directly to the world

Weavers, dyers, embroiderers and cooperatives: open a storefront that carries your name, your place and your technique, and reach designers and brands looking for authentic cloth.

How to get started

  1. 1

    Create your account

Sign up as a producer and tell us about your business: name, country, techniques you practise.

  2. 2

    Get verified

Submit your identity and business registration documents. We review them before anything goes public. Sensitive fields such as tax and bank details are stored encrypted.

  3. 3

    Build your storefront

Add your story, photos and the heritage techniques you work with.

  4. 4

    List your fabrics

Set the price per metre, minimum order, lead time and materials, and add clear photos. Each new listing is reviewed before it appears in search.

  5. 5

    Get paid

Buyers pay the platform by mobile money and the money is held in escrow. Once delivery is confirmed (or automatically 30 days after shipment) and a 7-day dispute window has passed, your share is sent to your mobile money number. The platform commission is 10% of your sales.

Producer FAQ

What does it cost to start?
Opening a storefront on the free plan costs nothing. We keep a commission of 10% on your sales; paid plans add more listings, analytics and visibility.
Which documents do I need to be verified?
A document proving your identity (national ID or passport) and a proof of your business activity (registration, cooperative certificate or similar). Tax and bank documents can be added. We review them before your storefront goes public.
How and when do I get paid?
By mobile money, to the number you register in your dashboard. Payment is released after delivery is confirmed and a 7-day dispute window.
In which currency do buyers pay?
Prices are shown in euros. Buyers pay in West African CFA francs (FCFA) by mobile money at the fixed rate of 655.957 FCFA per euro.
Who handles shipping?
You ship the order within the lead time you set and add the tracking details. The buyer confirms delivery from their order page.
What photos work best?
Natural daylight, the whole cloth flat, a close-up of the weave or pattern, and one photo that gives a sense of scale. Show the real fabric that will be shipped.
Can I sell several techniques?
Yes. Link each listing to the heritage technique it belongs to; this helps buyers and search engines find it.
